Who keeps the equipment running?

Jim Blair, Firefighter/Mechanic

Jim is a new addition to the city staff.  Originally an employee of a local repair establishment, Jim is no stranger to working on fire apparatus.  His presence and expertise is a blessing for the department.  Jim is also an active firefighter with the department.

Part Time Employees

The fire department utilizes part time employees to supplement the staff during full timer's absences.  This keeps down the cost of overtime and eases the scheduling of vacations and training.  Many of the  department's volunteers double as part time employees.  In addition, several of the part timers are firefighters, EMT's, and paramedics from other career departments.
