Fire Stations of the Eureka Springs Fire Department

Station 1

Station 1 is located at 144 East Van Buren Avenue.  The station is the only staffed station of the department's six stations.  The front building houses the department's administration offices, training facility and crew quarters.  This structure was originally the police department.  The new bays to the rear of the property were completed in 2008.  The original station, Station 3, sat on this location and had three bays with basement crew quarters.  Station 1 also has one of the city's three original fire bells mounted on display in front of the station.

Station 2  (White Street Station)

Station 2, located on White Street in the historic district, is a small single bay building.  The small size harks back to the days of smaller fire engines.  There is one fire engine housed here.  The fire engine's light bar was removed to enable the truck to fit through the door.

Station 3  (Downtown Station)

This is Eureka Spring's original fire station.  This station is located in the historic downtown across from the courthouse.  It houses one ladder truck and one pumper.  Entering and exiting this station is problematic due to the narrow street and busy sidewalk.

 Station 5  (Concord Fire Station)

The Concord Station was built near the site of the original Concord school.  The station is located on Rockhouse Road south of Eureka Springs.  Construction was completed and a dedication took place in June, 2003.

Station 6  (Buck Mountain Fire Station)

The Buck Mountain Fire Station is located on Buck Mountain Road, County 108.  This station protects a rural area in the southwest corner of Carrol County including many nice lake-side neighborhoods.
